Unlike others you may hire, you might not get to meet me until the day of the inspection. Your opinion of me will not be made until after my job is done. Every week I am faced with being ethical and doing the right thing.  I deal with all sorts of frustrated people, and the occasional unethical Realtor, that tries to down play the severity of the problems found.  I can't promise you things will always go smoothly. What I can promise you is to provide a thorough unbiased report. A report that discloses all the facts, without allowing any outside factors to influence my decision. The newly remodeled home I inspected had a new circuit breaker panel installed. The wire you see is one of the main power wires that someone inserted 3 drywall screws into. It is hard to figure out why this was done, but the electrical arcing between the screws and the main breaker, started melting the set screw for the breaker wire. This was a fire just waiting to happen. The person responsible could have only been amateur, and might have had good intentions. But even the best intentions can become deadly!
